Registered Nurse - Ortho-Neuro Unit

This is a 13-week contract position.

12-hour shifts, 0700-1930 or 1900-0730, including every other weekend and holiday commitment as required by unit needs.

The Registered Nurse will work on the Ortho-Neuro Unit, providing care to patients undergoing elective surgeries such as hip, knee, and shoulder procedures, as well as managing post-operative care for patients with fractures and other neuro-surgical conditions. The RN will deliver high-quality nursing care while adhering to established protocols and providing patient education.

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct patient care, including administration of medications and monitoring of patient conditions.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
• Ensure compliance with unit protocols and safety standards.
• Assist with patient mobility and rehabilitation as required.
• Perform assessments and document patient progress in the electronic health record (EPIC).

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• Current Nursing License.
• BLS certification.
• Experience with orthopedic patients and PCA pumps required.
• Experience in acute care or MedSurg nursing settings preferred.
