TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified PACU/Pre-Post Op RN in Wheeling, West Virginia, 26003!

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: PACU (Post Anesthesia Care Unit) Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12H Days Hours per Shift: Varies between 8-8, 9-9, and 11-11 Experience: Minimum 2 years License: Required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC Must-Have: - Ability to read and interpret telemetry strips - Flexible with scheduling and patient assignment Description: Recover patients from anesthesia in both inpatient and outpatient settings. Total beds include seven bays for inpatient, fifteen bays for outpatient, fourteen bays for a surgery center, and six rooms for an anesthesia clinic. The unit supports Phase 1 and Phase 2 recovery areas. Weekend call includes one 24-hour weekend shift per month. Holidays will require participation in call rotation with permanent staff. The facility has an in-house pharmacy and RT coverage available 24/7. Staff members may float between various recovery areas and provide care for a variety of cases, excluding open heart surgeries. ICU patients may be recovered, except for open heart cases, which are directed to the ICU. All staff are required to manage their own scrubs in the anesthesia clinic. Up to four schedule requests can be made per schedule, with flexibility dependent on unit needs.
