Local Travel Clinical Laboratory Scientist

Local travel clinical laboratory scientist will perform moderate to high-complexity testing in a fast-paced hospital setting, ensuring accurate results and compliance with CLIA, CAP, and regulatory standards. This four-month contract offers up to $2,550 per week and the opportunity to work in a scenic Central California location.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform moderate and high-complexity laboratory testing
• Analyze, verify, and report laboratory results accurately
• Operate, calibrate, and maintain laboratory instrumentation
• Follow laboratory quality control and quality assurance procedures
• Collect and process biological specimens as needed
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies, CLIA, CAP, and regulatory standards
• Troubleshoot equipment and testing inconsistencies
• Maintain detailed and accurate laboratory documentation
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and healthcare staff to support patient care
• Adhere to infection control and laboratory safety protocols

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in clinical laboratory science, medical technology, or related field
• Current CA CLS license
• Current CA BLS certification
• Strong knowledge of laboratory procedures, instrumentation, and regulatory standards

Preferred Skills:

• Minimum of one year of recent clinical laboratory scientist experience
