Auberle’s mission is to help build strong individuals, families, and communitiesProgram Description: Foster Care Program is located at main campus in McKeesport with work throughout Allegheny and neighboring counties where foster homes are located and young people served are from. The program recruits, certifies, and maintains a secure and safe environment for young people, referred by a county protective agency, who cannot live with their legal guardian at that time. The program works to assist the young person in finding permanency either through reunification with that original caregiver or within an alternate family setting. This program includes traditional and therapeutic level of services as well as services through the Statewide Adoption Network (SWAN).Choose an item.Position Title and Overview:Permanency Specialist1. Help children gather their history and maintain all the information possible about the child in one document.2. Engage with children to help them prepare for permanency.3. Create scrapbooks for the children to process trauma and honor the past.4. Provide extensive history and information to potential adoptive families.5. Educate families on ways to engage with their children and process the grief and loss as they get older.Location and Travel Requirements:This position is primarily located in Great Pittsburgh area.
