Key Responsibilities

• Perform direct patient care activities for all age groups, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care
• Monitor and coordinate patient care activities with ancillary departments to optimize patient outcomes and comfort
• Function within the scope of nursing practice consistent with established guidelines, the Missouri Nurse Practice Act, and facility standards
• Utilize EPIC EMR for documentation and patient care coordination
• Operate and maintain all equipment used within the Emergency Department
• Float to other units as required by the facility

Required Qualifications

• Graduate of a state-approved School of Nursing
• Current RN licensure with the Missouri State Board of Nursing or a current Missouri temporary RN work permit
• Minimum 1 year of Emergency Department experience required
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association
• Current ACLS certification
• Current NIHSS and TNCC certifications

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Current PALS or ENPC certification
• Demonstrated clinical expertise and strong human relations and communication skills
• Experience with EPIC EMR
