Position Type: Contract
Contract Duration: 5 months
Pay Rate: $75.00 / Hour (USD)
Shift / Schedule: D/N rotating shift: 7pm-7:30am / 7am-7:30pm (Shifts may be variable. If needed to meet the operational needs of the hospital, facility will do their best to honor traveler's preferred shift but reserves the right to rotate them if necessary.)

Job Summary

This is a Med/Surg Tele RN position at a major hospital's Main Campus. The traveler has the potential to float to units J1-2, J33, and ED to care for the same patient population. There is also a possibility the traveler will be assigned patients on ventilators.

Key Responsibilities

Provide nursing care to Med/Surg Tele patients on a D/N rotating shift (7pm-7:30am / 7am-7:30pm).
Float to units J1-2, J33, and ED as needed to care for the same patient population.
Care for patients on ventilators as required by unit needs.
Work at least every other holiday.
Complete ECG rhythm recognition test and safeMedicate assessments during orientation; an acceptable score on both is required.

Required Skills

Must have 18 months combined permanent experience in the specialty applying for (preferable to be within one location but can be combined).
Must also have 18 months of recent MS/Tele experience - travel experience will suffice.
ECG rhythm recognition competency.
safeMedicate proficiency.

Education Requirements

Must have permanent Ohio RN license or compact state license in hand.
AHA or client BLS certification required.
ACLS certification required.
NIHSS certification required.

Work Environment / Physical Requirements

Rotating day/night shifts: 7pm-7:30am and 7am-7:30pm (3x12-hour shifts).
Facility reserves the right to rotate travelers' shifts if needed to meet operational needs.
Possibility of caring for patients on ventilators.
Traveler must work at least every other holiday.
COVID-19 vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions only).
Flu vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions only).
