You'll have opportunities to build new skills and invest in your development, all while doing meaningful work that makes an everyday impact on the world's vital water resources.Reporting to the Plant Maintenance Manager, the Maintenance Technician is responsible for the design, planning, construction, safety and maintenance of building infrastructure or manufacturing/production equipment and systems. May be responsible for the repair, maintenance, installation and enhancement of machinery and mechanical equipment. Mechanical responsibilities may apply to equipment, machinery, electrical, plumbing, and/or HVAC. May manage coordination and modification of building space - space design standards, allocation, modifications, moves and expansion. May conduct facility inspections and/or equipment condition assessments to determine necessary modifications, including repair work and replacements/capital improvements. Responsibilities include predictive, preventive and proactive maintenance analysis as well as designing and implementing long-term continuous improvement applications and systems to enhance facility and/or production reliability and infrastructure specific elements of quality system compliance. Documents and reports issues to provide a safe and reliable environment.This position is part of the ChemTreat - Facilities/Production Equipment - TX Maintenance located in Nederland, TX and will be onsite. In this role, a typical day will look like:Day to day facilities maintenance and repair of machinery that keeps the plant operatingTote maintenance when required.Heavy lifting and respirator clearance required.Assist in specialized projects as assigned by Maintenance Manager.Capable of assisting Maintenance Manager with prioritizing shift workload and completing assigned tasksCoordinates with other departments and operational sites as needed to fulfill maintenance objectivesAssists when vendors and contractors are onsite servicesCapable of ordering and obtaining quotes for materialsFollows appropriate EHS procedures and policyMaintains communication with internal departments and maintenance supervision to ensure compliance with policies and proceduresPerforms all non-supervisory duties for all positions within the department, as necessaryOther duties as assignedThe essential requirements of the job include:High school diploma.
