Staff Product Designer, Core Experience

The Role

The Core Experience design team shapes the future of Cash App by defining the fundamental frameworks and surfaces that millions of customers rely on every day. We craft the product's core architecture, from navigation to feature relationships, delivering the strategic changes that push our product forward. Our work creates intuitive, performant experiences that help customers engage with confidence from day one.

In this role, you'll be a key member of the team focused on Cash App's primary surfaces, working on core product strategy, design frameworks, architecture – in short, defining the major beats of the product experience. You'll craft experiences that transform complex financial concepts into clear, engaging moments that help customers succeed. This is a unique opportunity to shape how customers interact with Cash App while working closely with teams across the organization including research, brand, and leadership.

You Will

• Drive end-to-end customer journeys that make complex financial tools feel simple and delightful


• Shape strategic frameworks that scale across the entire Cash App ecosystem


• Partner with research and content teams to transform deep customer insights into exceptional product experiences


• Drive cross-functional collaboration with other teams across the organization to gather input, ensure compliance, and strengthen decisions.


• Champion data-driven design decisions that measurably improve customer success and engagement


• Set and maintain an extremely high quality bar

You Have

• 8+ years of experience crafting impactful digital products


• A portfolio showcasing exceptional product thinking and ability to make complex systems feel simple


• Outstanding storytelling abilities that blend brand expression, customer mental models, and business goals


• Strong track record of building trusted partnerships across product, engineering, research, and content teams


• Demonstrated ability to use quantitative and qualitative insights to drive product success

Even Better

• Experience designing and shipping new navigation and interaction paradigms


• Background in financial products or regulated industries that demand both compliance and delight
