GDIT has an exciting opportunity for a Government Billing Analyst to join our team to support Cash Operations activities working 1 day per week in the office and 4 days telework (from home) after the required new-hire training period. The position is currently responsible for billing active contracts but job duties may change depending on business needs to primarily include closeout billing. **. **This role will be Hybrid (1 day/week onsite) with option to work in our Falls Church, VA OR Herndon, VA office. The likely salary range for this position is $70,658 - $75,900. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range. Scheduled Weekly Hours:

- Prepare and submit invoices for government and commercial customers in compliance with contractual and FAR regulations for all contract types.
- Review contract documents for information or changes related to invoicing.
- Maintain and update billing folders in accordance with established guidelines.
- Invoice customers in a timely and accurate manner, ensuring invoices are in compliance with appropriate contracts guidelines and regulations.
- Analyzes revenue reports during invoicing process to understand and communicate unbilled balances.
- Reconcile Unbilled balances, including booked to billed analysis per applicable invoice.
- For closeout billing, responsible for preparation, posting, and follow-up of interim and final invoices, and submission of final release documents, for a variety of contract types and customers, to include Government and Civilian Agencies.
- Assist with the collection process.
- Participates in special projects, as required.
- Bachelor's degree plus 2+ years of related experience. In lieu of degree, 6+ years of related experience is required.
- Experience supporting general accounting functions
- Billing experience is required
- Proficiency with computer use including relevant software applications such as MS Outlook and Office, as well as Excel.
- Problem solving, analytical, and excel skills
- Interpersonal and communication skills
- Hybrid: must be able to go into the Herndon or Falls Church, VA office every week
- Experience with ORACLE, Costpoint, or related systems.
- Understanding of FAR and other government regulations
