Staff Pharmacist - Outpatient Pharmacy
Location: Wheat Ridge, CO
Duration: 13+ Week Contract-to-Hire Opportunity
We are seeking a licensed Pharmacist to join a busy outpatient pharmacy team in Wheat Ridge, Colorado. This is an excellent opportunity for a pharmacist who enjoys direct patient interaction, medication management, and working in a collaborative healthcare environment.
Responsibilities
- Verify and dispense prescriptions accurately and efficiently
- Review medication orders for accuracy, safety, and appropriateness
- Identify and resolve drug interactions and utilization concerns
- Provide medication counseling and education to patients
- Dispense controlled substances in accordance with state and federal regulations
- Support inventory management and medication stocking activities
- Answer pharmacy-related inquiries and assist customers as needed
- Assist with point-of-sale transactions
- Collaborate with pharmacy leadership and healthcare staff to ensure quality patient care
Qualifications
- Active Colorado Pharmacist license in good standing
- Minimum of 1 year of retail or outpatient pharmacy experience
- Strong customer service and patient counseling skills
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities
- Experience with Epic Willow preferred
