Locum Pediatrician Opportunity in Dickinson, ND

An excellent locum opportunity for a Pediatrician to provide coverage at a critical access hospital in Dickinson, ND. The position involves a mix of pediatric inpatient, newborn care, and delivery attendance within a supportive clinical environment.

Practice Highlights

• Schedule: 7-day blocks upcoming dates Nov 2128 and Dec 1723, with ongoing coverage in 2026

• Setting: Labor & Delivery / Pediatrics Unit / Level II Nursery

• Responsibilities include:

  • Attending vaginal deliveries (as requested)

  • Attending scheduled and emergent C-sections

  • Admitting and discharging newborns and pediatric patients

  • Performing circumcisions

  • Managing newborn resuscitation, intubations, UVCs, and lumbar punctures

• Average census: 23 patients per day

• EMR: Meditech

• Support Staff: Level II nursery nurses, OB/GYNs, anesthesia, respiratory therapists, and local pediatricians for consults

• NICU support available within 90 miles

Candidate Requirements

• Board Certified / Board Eligible in Pediatrics (Highly Preferred)

• Active ND License or IMLC (Required)

• Certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, and NRP (Required)

• Clean malpractice history (Required)

• Availability at time of name clear

Schedule & Coverage

• 7-day rotations per month

• Emergency privileges available for November start

• Credentialing and travel arranged prior to assignment
