We build the shared technologies, tools, and infrastructure that power hardware development across every Anduril division, from actuators and propulsion to batteries, avionics, rocket motors, and test operations. Our teams set engineering standards, run development manufacturing and test sites, and develop core technology products that ship across multiple product lines.ABOUT THE JOBWe are looking for Electrical Engineers to join our rapidly growing Hardware Platform organization, supporting defense hardware development across propulsion and weapons systems programsPropulsion: Develop and test cutting edge electronics for propulsion system. We are looking for a self-starter with deep technical experience in defense or aerospace hardware development to apply these skills in propulsion flight controllers, power electronics, high-efficiency motor controllers, and electromagnetic actuators.ESAD: Develop fuzing circuitry for missile systems, closely collaborate with vehicle development teams to design, document, and produce tailored fuzing systems and effectors. Develop system interconnect diagrams and define wire harnesses that connect electronic equipment within the vehicle.WHAT YOU’LL DOLead full-cycle PCB design for high-reliability defense hardware — from requirements capture and schematic design through component selection, layout (Altium preferred), bring-up, test, debug, and system integrationDesign and optimize circuits for safety-critical aerospace and defense applications, including power electronics, motor/actuator drivers, digital control systems, fuzing circuitry, or vehicle interconnect — depending on program focusConduct rigorous design analysis including worst-case analysis (WCA), thermal analysis, DFMEA, component derating, and signal/power integrity analysis to ensure reliability across extreme vibration and temperature environmentsExecute board bring-ups and lead Design Verification Testing (DVT), qualification testing, and functional testing through ground and flight testDevelop system interconnect diagrams and define wire harnesses for integration within the vehicleCollaborate closely with mechanical, thermal, software, systems, quality, and manufacturing teams across the full development lifecycleConduct peer-level and cross-discipline design reviews throughout developmentPerform root cause and failure analysis in support of ground test and field operationsSupport vendor surveys and component sourcing to ensure performance, reliability, and supply chain viabilityREQUIRED QUALIFICATIONSBachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field5+ years of experience designing, testing, and troubleshooting complex PCB designsStrong fundamentals in analog, digital, and power electronicsProficiency with electronic CAD tools (Altium Designer strongly preferred)Familiarity with circuit simulation tools (LTSpice or equivalent)Competence with lab test equipment: oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, thermal chambers, current probes, spectrum analyzers, and test automationFamiliarity with standard interfaces including CAN, I2C, SPI, Ethernet, USB, and PCIe, and common MCU/CPU/FPGA architecturesExperience designing for signal integrity and power integrityEligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearancePREFERRED QUALIFICATIONSActive DoD Secret or Top Secret clearance, or DOE L/QMaster's degree in Electrical Engineering5+ years of experience in defense, aerospace, UAS, missile, or maritime hardware developmentExperience with propulsion electronics: motor controllers, power distribution/conversion, flight controller circuits, or electromagnetic actuatorsExperience with fuzing, ordnance, or other safety-critical weapon systems electronicsFamiliarity with MIL-STD-1316, MIL-STD-882E, MIL-STD-2105, or DoD Weapons Safety Board processesExperience with MATLAB/Simulink for control loop modeling or system simulationFamiliarity with avionics design standards: DO-254, DO-178C, DO-160Experience scaling electronics designs to production volumeUS Salary Range$129,000—$171,000 USDThe salary range for this role is an estimate based on a wide range of compensation factors, inclusive of base salary only.
