Lab Testing Clerk
Labcorp
Labcorp seeks a Reference Test Clerk for its Fairhope, Alabama laboratory. The role involves specimen preparation, processing, and supporting laboratory operations on a Monday-Friday schedule with rotating weekends.
Responsibilities
- Prepare laboratory specimens for analysis and testing
- Research, troubleshoot and resolve customer and specimen-related issues
- Route test requests and release results to appropriate locations
- Process and sort specimens for internal and external facility distribution
- Maintain specimen records, logs and clean work environment
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 3+ months specimen processing experience (preferred)
- 3+ months medical or laboratory experience (preferred)
- Basic computer skills and data entry proficiency
- Ability to pass standardized color blindness test
- Comfort handling biological specimens and accurate specimen identification
