Responsibilities Under general supervision, you will: participate in the direct care and plan implementation for clients as prescribed by physician and treatment teams. Assist the Academic Teacher in implementing instructional and therapeutic activities, including writing lesson plans and preparing instructional materials. Assess client progress, modify teaching techniques to promote achievement of each assigned client’s goals, and work with clients in residences during academic breaks and holidays. Provide transportation between residences and school in community‑based programs. Provide supervision, safety, and crisis management, complete documentation of client behavior and participation, adhere to scheduled activities, role‑model positive behavior, and utilize proactive behavioral strategies to minimize crisis. Essential Job Functions Health, Safety and Wellness of Clients: ensure accurate medication delivery, support client health and hygiene, utilize infection‑control procedures, report incidents, and follow review measures. Individual Plan Implementation: apply SNAP, treatment plans, IEP, and ISP to promote behavior goals, instruct clients, collect and document behavioral and instructional data, maintain engagement, and implement planned activities. Supportive Environment: build trusting relationships, demonstrate knowledge of client diagnoses, manage behavioral crises safely, collaborate with treatment team, and provide exemplary customer service. Site Management – Housekeeping, Nutrition, Transportation, Finances: ensure safe environment, maintain cleanliness, promote good nutrition, assist with meal prep, provide transportation, handle purchases, and maintain financial accountability. Teamwork and commitment: demonstrate organization knowledge and core values of integrity and accountability. Minimum Training and Experience A bachelor’s degree in human services; or an associate’s degree and 3 months experience working with children; or a high school graduate or G.E.D. and 6 months experience working with children. 19 years of age. Must pass criminal background check and pre‑employment drug screen. Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record. Basic computer skills (login, web navigation, Microsoft Word, keyboarding). Compensation Starting at $17 up to $22, commensurate with experience and qualifications. Shift differentials: $1.50/hr weekday evenings & overnight 3:30 p‑10:30 p; $3.00/hr weekend Fri 3:30 p‑Mon 7:00 a. Employee Benefits Free meals during shift, as available. Medical, dental and vision.
