Travel Registered Nurse (RN) – Medical Surgical / Telemetry

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Travel | Days, 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM | Every Other Weekend and Every Other Holiday | 13-Week Assignment

Key Responsibilities

• Provide general medical-surgical nursing care including medication administration and comprehensive patient care
• Deliver post-operative patient care for surgical and bariatric patients
• Support oncology patient care needs within a general Med Surg unit
• Perform remote telemetry monitoring in coordination with a monitor technician
• Maintain a patient ratio of 1:6, with a surge plan of up to 1:7
• Float to Medical Surgical Telemetry unit as needed

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Minimum 1–2 years of Medical Surgical nursing experience
• Minimum 1 year of recent travel nursing experience
• Telemetry experience required
• Proficiency with Cerner EMR required
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with post-operative surgical and bariatric patient populations
• Familiarity with oncology patient care in a general Med Surg setting
• Experience working in a unit with remote telemetry monitoring workflows
