Surgery Scheduler

About the role We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Surgery Scheduler to join a quality specialty office located in Spokane, WA. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in coordinating surgical appointments, ensuring that patients receive timely and efficient service. This position requires excellent communication skills, strong organizational abilities, and a commitment to providing exceptional patient care. Key Responsibilities Schedule surgical procedures by coordinating with surgeons, patients, and other healthcare staff. Verify patient information and insurance details to ensure accuracy before scheduling. Maintain an organized schedule for multiple surgeons and procedures. Communicate effectively with patients regarding pre-operative instructions and appointment confirmations. Handle incoming calls with professionalism, demonstrating excellent phone etiquette. Assist with clerical tasks such as filing, data entry, and maintaining patient records. Collaborate with medical billing staff to ensure proper coding and billing for surgical services. Provide administrative support at the front desk as needed. Required Skills Proficiency in electronic health record systems such as EPIC is preferred. Strong patient service skills with the ability to empathize and communicate effectively with diverse populations. Experience in a dental office or medical environment is a plus. Knowledge of medical billing processes and terminology is beneficial. Excellent clerical skills including attention to detail and organizational capabilities. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple tasks. Familiarity with medical administrative support functions will be advantageous.
