Construction Project Manager

KC metro location with no travel. This is NOT a remote or hybrid opportunity. Job Summary We're looking for a Project Manager to run concrete construction projects from bid to close-out. You'll own the schedule, the budget, and the field coordination, working directly with clients, engineers, and superintendents to keep projects on track and profitable. This is a hands‑on role for someone who knows concrete work and can manage multiple jobs at once without dropping details. Key Responsibilities Plan, organize, and manage concrete construction projects from start to finish, including scheduling, budgeting, resource allocation, and subcontractor coordination. Collaborate with clients, engineers, and superintendents to review project plans, specifications, and requirements, and ensure alignment with project goals and client expectations. Lead project meetings, including pre-construction, progress, and close‑out meetings, to communicate project objectives, milestones, and expectations to all stakeholders. Develop and maintain project schedules, timelines, and budgets, and monitor progress to ensure adherence to project milestones and financial goals. Manage and mitigate project risks and issues, and implement corrective actions to address challenges and maintain project momentum. Conduct regular site inspections and quality assurance checks to monitor workmanship, safety compliance, and adherence to project specifications and industry standards. Prepare and submit project reports, including progress updates, budget summaries, and completion documentation, to clients and senior management. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, building codes, safety standards, and environmental regulations throughout the project lifecycle. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Proven experience as a Project Manager or similar role in concrete construction, with a strong background in managing projects from conception to completion. Comprehensive knowledge of concrete construction techniques, materials, equipment, and industry best practices. Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and motivate project teams to achieve project goals and exceed client expectations. Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Procore, Primavera, MS Project) and Microsoft Office Suite. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail to manage multiple projects, priorities, and deadlines effectively. Ability to analyze project data, financial reports, and performance metrics to make informed decisions and drive project success.
