Job Summary:
The organization is seeking qualified Operating Room (OR) nurses with experience in open heart procedures to join the team located in Reston, Virginia. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day. The position involves working in a Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) environment with a focus on team collaboration and advanced surgical support.

• Schedule: RN 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM, Monday through Thursday; RN 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM, Monday through Friday; CST 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM, Monday through Thursday; CST 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM, Monday through Friday
• Required Qualifications: Certifications include Basic Life Support (BLS). Preferred certification is CNOR. No specific years of experience required.
• Skills and Responsibilities: Teamwork, scrub or circulate procedures, room setup, room turnover, obtaining disposables and instrument sets as needed, sterile technique, central line setup, arterial line setup, Belmont setup and operation, cell saver setup.
• Procedures Performed: Open heart surgeries such as coronary artery bypass grafts (CABG), mitral valve repairs (MVR), tricuspid valve repairs (TVR), aortic valve replacements (AVR), vascular procedures, and VATS (video-assisted thoracoscopic surgery).
• Equipment and Technology: Belmont system, ESU (Electrosurgical Unit), positioning equipment, Meditech Expanse electronic medical record system.
• Additional Information: Consideration will be given for candidates with new equipment experience, strong staff tenure, and schedule flexibility.
• Float Policy: Float to main operating rooms.
