Rural Health & Behavioral Health Coordinator

Rural Health & Behavioral Health Coordinator The Indiana Family and Social Services Administration (FSSA) is hiring a Rural Health Behavioral Health Workforce Coordinator to support the implementation of the states Rural Health Transformation Program (RHTP). This role is responsible for coordinating workforce development efforts across rural communities, supporting grant‑funded initiatives, managing program operations, and ensuring compliance with state and federal requirements. The ideal candidate will collaborate with healthcare providers, training institutions, and community stakeholders to strengthen the behavioral health workforce and improve access to care. Key Responsibilities Workforce Development & Coordination Lead and support statewide behavioral health workforce initiatives. Coordinate recruitment, training, and placement of workforce (CPSPs, social workers, nurses, etc.). Identify workforce gaps and develop solutions. Support career pathway and training program development. Grant & Program Management: Assist in managing workforce‑related grants and initiatives. Track budgets, timelines, and deliverables. Ensure compliance with state and federal guidelines. Maintain accurate documentation and reporting. Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with healthcare providers, training partners, and community organizations. Act as a liaison between FSSA and external stakeholders. Participate in statewide meetings and workforce initiatives. Reporting & Performance Monitoring: Collect and track workforce data (recruitment, training, retention). Prepare reports for state and federal agencies (CMS). Monitor program outcomes and support continuous improvement. Program Implementation Support: Assist partners in understanding program requirements and expectations. Support execution of statewide workforce strategies. Contribute to the development of new workforce initiatives and pilot programs. Required Qualifications Bachelors degree in Public Health, Health Administration, Public Policy, Business Administration, or related field Minimum 5+ years of experience in: Workforce development, OR Program/project management, OR Grant administration Experience working with healthcare organizations, public health systems, or rural communities Knowledge of compliance, reporting, and budgeting for government‑funded programs Strong organizational and multitasking skills Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities Preferred Qualifications Experience with CMS‑funded programs or federal grants Knowledge of rural healthcare systems and behavioral health services Experience working in multi‑stakeholder environments Familiarity with workforce training and credentialing programs Additional Details Hybrid work model (onsite as needed) Approximately 10% travel within central Indiana Travel outside Indianapolis is reimbursed Candidates must reside in or near Indianapolis #J-18808-Ljbffr InstantServe LLC
