Mammography Technologist - Breast Imaging 06/11/2026 Contract Active Job Description: Job Summary We are seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Mammography Technologist to join our Breast Imaging team. This role is responsible for performing high-quality mammographic examinations, ensuring patient comfort and safety, and supporting early detection and diagnosis of breast disease. The technologist will work closely with radiologists and healthcare staff to deliver exceptional patient care in compliance with regulatory and accreditation standards. Key Responsibilities Perform screening and diagnostic mammography procedures according to established protocols. Position patients accurately to obtain optimal imaging results while ensuring comfort and dignity. Operate mammography equipment and maintain image quality standards. Assist radiologists during breast imaging procedures, including biopsies when required. Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in compliance with HIPAA and facility policies. Ensure adherence to safety standards, infection control, and radiation protection guidelines. Provide patient education regarding procedures and answer questions with empathy and professionalism. Participate in quality assurance activities and support accreditation requirements. Required Qualifications Associate’s degree or certificate in Radiologic Technology. Current ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certification in Radiography. State licensure as required. Minimum of 1–2 years of experience in mammography or breast imaging. Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a patient-centered approach. Preferred Qualifications (if any) Prior experience in a breast imaging center or women’s health clinic. Familiarity with digital breast tomosynthesis (3D mammography). Experience working in an accredited breast imaging program. Certifications (if any) ARRT certification in Mammography (Required).
