Red River Brick, a premier brand of the General Shale network in the Southwest U.S., is seeking a Setting Machine Operator for our Elgin, Texas manufacturing facility. Red River Brick operates multiple production facilities across Texas and Oklahoma, offering a broad range of residential and commercial brick products designed to meet the needs of regional builders.

Position Overview

The Setting Machine Operator is responsible for operating and monitoring production line equipment to ensure efficient, safe, and high-quality brick manufacturing. This role requires close attention to production data, visual quality standards, and effective communication with team members and supervisors to maintain consistent operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate production line equipment, including automated and manual machinery
• Monitor production line performance and product quality
• Make process adjustments based on data, visual inspections, and operational requirements
• Maintain accurate production records and required paperwork
• Recognize, report, and correct production issues when capable
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of assigned work areas
• Perform additional duties as assigned to support plant operations

Education

• High school diploma or GED required

Experience

• Manufacturing or industrial experience preferred

Skills

• Dependable with a strong work ethic
• Ability to communicate clearly with production personnel and supervisors
• Ability to read, write, and speak English (bilingual English/Spanish a plus)
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety

Physical Demands

• Ability to stand, walk, stoop, reach, and bend for up to 10 hours
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly
• Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with varying temperatures
