Ed Tech III Summit Academy, 2026-2027 School Year At Summit Academy, we believe every student has a path to the top. In this role, you won't just tutor; you will mentor, motivate, and champion students in grades 9–12. You will work closely with a small, collaborative team to provide both academic support and social-emotional guidance, helping students overcome barriers to graduation and reach their full potential. Key Responsibilities Academic Support: Deliver instructional support to individuals or small groups, reinforcing core high school curriculum under the guidance of the lead teacher. Behavioral & Emotional Mentorship: Utilize restorative practices and trauma-informed approaches to help students regulate emotions, resolve conflicts, and build resilience. Independent Supervision: Comfortably manage the classroom or supervise student projects/online learning modules when the lead teacher is briefly unavailable. Progress Tracking: Help monitor student attendance, academic progress, and behavioral goals to ensure they stay on track for graduation. Culture Building: Actively contribute to a safe, inclusive, non-judgmental, and community-focused learning environment unique to Summit Academy. Qualifications & Requirements Certification: Current Maine Educational Technician III authorization/certification (or eligibility for immediate certification). Proper Maine DOE certification and background check required for all positions.
