Position Licensed Behavioral and Mental Health Clinician (LCSW/LPC/LMFT) to provide direct services and support to individuals with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (IDD) and/or mental health diagnoses in crisis or at risk of inpatient placement, involvement with law enforcement, potential harm to themselves or others, or loss of residential/home placement due to severe behavioral and/or psychiatric related issues. Essential Functions and Responsibilities Provide clinical recommendations and training to participating providers, caregivers, family members and others involved in the individuals care and treatment. Assist providers with development, implementation, and monitoring of Person-Centered Plans, Behavior Support Plans, Mental Health Treatment Plans and Crisis Safety Plans. Provide individual and programmatic, best-practice recommendations and training to participating providers and assist providers with implementation of best-practice protocols through consultation and training. Complete agency and individual assessments to guide subsequent clinical interventions. Serve as a member of the Active Consulting Team. Participate in provider wraparound or consultation meetings by reporting assessment results and offering rationale for best practice recommendations in areas of expertise. Facilitate referrals quickly to prevent escalation of crisis. Establish formal and informal collaboration with provider agencies, payers, project and community stakeholders. Establish and maintain record keeping functions; integration with EHR and other applicable data systems. Complete necessary documentation in a timely manner to facilitate reimbursement through primary funding sources. Develop and implement safety plans as appropriate. Report any suspected abuse, neglect or exploitation in accordance with state rules and regulations and company policy. Provide clinical supervision to mental health practitioners, interns and individuals requiring post graduate licensure per state statutes. Develop content and deliver in-person or virtual training to IDD/BH providers and community members on best practice crisis prevention measures i.e. behavioral supports, proactive strategies, triggers, staff interventions, replacement behaviors, etc Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Knowledge of California Department of Developmental Services (DDS) and Mental Health Services Division (MHSD) regulations and standards. Knowledge of California Regional Centers regulations and standards. Knowledge of health care privacy and confidentiality rules. Knowledge of person-centered care and support for individuals with intellectual/developmental disabilities and/or co-occurring mental health diagnoses. Qualifications Minimum Current California Licensure as LCSW/LPC/LMFT. Maintain professional license in good standing with applicable licensing board(s). Valid BLS CPR and Basic First Aid certification. Crisis de-escalation verbal skills and physical management training certificate, i.e., Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) certification. Two years' experience providing case management services to individuals with IDD and/or Behavioral Health diagnoses. Valid driver's license and auto insurance. Must be computer literate. Preferred Fluent bilingual speaker in one or more of the following languages: English/Spanish; English/Mandarin; English/Korean; English/Tagalog. Two years' experience working with individuals diagnosed with IDD and behavioral and mental health diagnoses. Experience working with individuals in crisis in community settings, i.e., residence, school, jobsite, etc. Working knowledge of the California DDS, MHSD and Regional Centers service systems.
