This role executes construction and installation activities in the field while ensuring adherence to safety, quality, and carrier standards.Technician II is a developing-level role responsible for executing defined work packages with moderate supervision and increasing technical independence.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Installation & Construction ExecutionInstall, maintain, repair, and retrofit macro, small cell, IDAS, and ODAS systemsInstall vertical and horizontal cabling (coax, fiber, power)Determine appropriate cable routing and best-path solutionsInstall antennas, radios, remote units, racks, head-end equipmentPerform grounding and bonding per code and carrier requirementsExecute OEM installation standardsTechnical Work & Testing SupportAssist with sweep testing, PIM testing, and fiber testingInterpret construction drawings and specificationsLabel and document installations according to carrier standardsSupport closeout documentation with accurate photos and reportingSafety & ComplianceFollow OSHA, NFPA, and company safety protocolsMaintain job site cleanliness and organizationSafely operate lifts and bucket trucksWork at heights up to 70 feetManagerial ResponsibilityThis role has no direct reports.Travel/Shift RequirementsAbility to travel up to 80% of the time.Ability to travel approximately 75% of the time, including air travel.Travel is typically Monday through Friday, returning home on Fridays.Occasional projects may require travel for up to 10 consecutive days, followed by approximately 4 days at home.Current project locations include Minnesota, Wisconsin, Illinois, Indiana, Ohio, Kentucky, Florida, and Arizona.Physical DemandsAbility to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.Ability to work outdoors, on ladders, and in confined spacesAbility to work with and around electrical wires and components and/or ESD productsAbility to work remotely at construction or installation sitesAbility to repeatedly ascend and descend ladders and lifts up to 50 feetAbility to climb heights up to 70 feet as requiredSkills and Abilities RequiredWorking knowledge of wireless infrastructure systemsFamiliarity with PIM and sweep testing equipmentBasic understanding of fiber handling and terminationAbility to read and interpret construction drawingsKnowledge of carrier installation standardsSafe operation of power tools and testing equipmentDetail-oriented with strong quality focusEffective communicator with team members and supervisorsAble to work independently on assigned tasksStrong time management and reliabilityEducation and Experience RequiredHigh School Diploma or GEDMinimum 1–2 years of relevant field installation experienceWireless industry experience preferredValid driver's licenseTelamon Corporation is an Equal Opportunity Employer and is committed to providing equal employment opportunities to all employees and applicants for employment.
