Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Responsibilities
Management Responsibilities

1. Account Setup : Initial configuration of OCI account, managing users and their roles.
2. Resource Allocation : Allocating and de-allocating resources like Virtual Machines, databases, storage, etc.
3. Billing and Cost Management : Monitoring usage and costs and setting budgets and alerts.

Security Responsibilities

1. Identity and Access Management (IAM) : Setting up policies, users, and roles for secure access.
2. Data Encryption : Implementing encryption at rest and in transit.
3. Firewall Rules : Setting up security lists and Network Security Groups (NSGs) to regulate inbound and outbound traffic.

Networking Responsibilities

1. Virtual Cloud Network (VCN) : Configuration and management.
2. Load Balancer : Setup and management for distributing incoming application or network traffic.
3. VPN and Fast Connect : Setting up secure connections to the cloud infrastructure.

Storage Responsibilities

1. Block Storage : Create, attach, backup, and restore.
2. Object Storage : Store and manage unstructured data.
3. File Storage : Manage shared file storage solutions.

Compute Responsibilities

1. Virtual Machines (VMs) : Provisioning, monitoring, and management.
2. Containers : Using services like Oracle Kubernetes to manage containerized applications.
3. Serverless : Managing and deploying functions using Oracle Functions.

Database Responsibilities

1. Database Provisioning : Create, configure, and delete databases.
2. Backup and Restore : Implementing backup policies and restoring databases.
3. Monitoring and Performance Tuning : Utilizing Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Monitoring and other tools.

Monitoring and Logging

1. OCI Monitoring : Setting up alarms and monitoring key metrics.
2. OCI Logging : Centralized collection and analysis of logs.
3. Auditing : Keeping track of activities and changes for compliance.
