SUMMARY

Mortenson is currently seeking an Power Yard Foreman responsible for safely managing the power yard, warehouse, laydown yard, materials, and inventory supporting electrical construction operations.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Manage and organize the warehouse, power yard, and laydown yard. Maintain accurate inventory of electrical materials, tools, and supplies. Order materials and coordinate deliveries with vendors and project personnel. Lead and coordinate assigned warehouse/yard personnel. Prepare, handle, and supply materials and tools for electrical trades. Receive, organize, stage, and distribute materials as needed. Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area, tools, and equipment. Assist Electrical Helpers and Journeymen with material handling and preparing work areas. Use computers, spreadsheets, and inventory systems to track materials. Measure, cut, and bend wire and conduit utilizing various hand tools when required. Safely utilize hand and power tools after proper training. Effectively work and build relationships with individuals at all organizational levels. All other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

Relevant electrical, warehouse, inventory, materials, or construction experience preferred. Previous team lead, supervisor, foreman, or manager experience preferred. Experience managing a warehouse, laydown yard, or inventory preferred. Experience ordering materials and coordinating deliveries preferred. Computer skills and ability to maintain accurate inventory records required. Current driver’s license Ability to read and interpret safety regulations, instructions, blueprints, schematics, and procedure manuals. Ability to work safely with hand and power tools. Strong organizational, communication, teamwork, and customer service skills. Ability to handle materials weighing up to 200 lbs. Lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling up to 50 lbs. Ability to work safely around construction equipment; heavy equipment operation is not required as a primary duty.
