Norfolk Kitchen & Bath , a division of The Norfolk Companies , is seeking an experienced Lead Carpenter / Cabinet Installer to join our residential kitchen and bath remodeling team.

This is an opportunity for a highly skilled carpenter who brings more than installation experience. We’re looking for someone who can take ownership of the job, lead by example, solve challenges in the field, and deliver the level of craftsmanship our customers expect from Norfolk.

What You’ll Get to Do:

As a Lead Carpenter / Cabinet Installer , you will take a hands-on leadership role in completing residential kitchen and bathroom remodeling projects from installation through final completion.

You will:

• Lead and perform the installation of kitchen and bathroom cabinetry, crown molding, trim, fillers, panels, hardware, and finish components.
• Take ownership of assigned installations and help ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, accurately, and to Norfolk's quality standards.
• Read and accurately execute floor plans, elevations, layouts, measurements, and installation specifications.
• Ensure cabinetry is properly aligned, leveled, secured, fitted, and finished.
• Perform detailed finish carpentry and make field adjustments when conditions require creative, practical solutions.
• Identify potential installation or construction issues early and communicate proactively with the Project Manager.
• Troubleshoot field conditions such as measurement discrepancies, uneven walls or floors, damaged materials, missing components, or installation conflicts.
• Coordinate effectively with Project Managers, Designers, countertop installers, plumbers, electricians, subcontractors, and other trades.
• Help guide and support Carpenters or Carpenter Helpers working alongside you.
• Maintain professional, respectful communication with homeowners while working in occupied residential environments.
• Protect customers’ homes and maintain a clean, organized, and safe jobsite throughout the project.
• Complete punch-list items and final details with a high level of precision and attention to craftsmanship.
• Represent Norfolk professionally and help create an excellent customer experience from installation through project completion.

• 10+ years of professional carpentry, cabinet installation, finish carpentry, or residential remodeling experience.
• Extensive hands-on experience installing kitchen and bathroom cabinetry.
• Strong finish carpentry skills, including experience with crown molding, trim, fillers, panels, and detailed finish work.
• Demonstrated ability to independently manage and complete complex cabinet installations.
• Previous experience serving as a Lead Carpenter, Senior Carpenter, Lead Installer, or similarly experienced field professional is strongly preferred.
• Ability to read and accurately interpret floor plans, elevations, measurements, layouts, and installation details.
• Strong field problem-solving skills with the ability to identify issues and develop practical solutions.
• High standards for quality, precision, craftsmanship, and attention to detail.
• Ability to lead by example and provide guidance to less-experienced members of the field team.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with Project Managers, Designers, and other trades.
• Strong communication skills and a professional, customer-focused approach.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Ability to safely perform the physical requirements of the position, including lifting and moving heavy materials and working from heights.

Nice-to-Haves

• Extensive experience with kitchen and bathroom remodeling projects .
• Experience working in occupied residential homes .
• Experience leading a two-person installation crew or mentoring Carpenter Helpers.
• Experience coordinating with countertop installers, plumbers, electricians, and other trades.
• OSHA 10 or other construction safety training.
• Comfort using technology for project communication, job updates, documentation, and scheduling.
• Bilingual communication skills are welcome.
