Registered Nurse - Behavioral Health

Location: Asheville, NC

Assignment Duration: This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule: Shift: 6:45 PM - 7:15 AM

Job Description: We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to join our Behavioral Health unit. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will play a crucial role in managing patient care in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong critical thinking skills and the ability to work effectively under pressure while providing compassionate care to patients with behavioral health needs.

Responsibilities

• Respond to psychiatric emergencies and manage aggressive patients.
• Conduct vital sign assessments and administer medications.
• Perform blood draws and wound care as needed.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to create and implement care plans.
• Utilize electronic medical records (EMR) for accurate documentation and patient tracking.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• Current certifications in CPI and BLS.
• Experience in behavioral health or psychiatry preferred.
• Ability to manage high-stress situations and aggressive patients.
