Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a Medical Surgical / Telemetry unit with patient ratios of 1:5 to 1:7
• Perform cardiac monitoring including dysrhythmia interpretation and management , and activate Rapid Response / Code teams as needed
• Manage IV therapy and peripheral line care, including phlebotomy
• Administer oxygen therapy via nasal cannula and non-invasive airway management
• Implement and maintain isolation precautions per facility protocol
• Float within skillset to other units as required

Required Qualifications

• Active New York Single State RN License required — pending licenses are not accepted (NY is not a Compact state)
• BLS certification required
• NIHSS certification required — must be included at time of submittal
• EPIC charting experience required
• Minimum 1 year of RN experience required
• Must have worked in acute care within the past 6 months
• Candidates residing within 75 miles of the facility are not eligible for this position

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience in a Magnet-recognized or teaching hospital environment
• Familiarity with telemetry monitoring and advanced cardiac care protocols
• Experience floating across units within a large acute care setting
