Member of Technical Staff Quality Engineer

Position Title: Member of Technical Staff Quality Engineer Location: 400 Stonebreak Road Extension, Malta, NY 12020 Hours: Monday – Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Summary of Duties Work as part of the internal audit team to manage both internal and external audits, verifying the quality management system’s compliance to ISO9001 and IATF16949 standards, and driving continuous improvement with cross‑functional teams within Fab8 and all other GlobalFoundries Fabs. Assist in developing audit plans and schedules. Perform internal audits, write audit reports, and verify the effectiveness of corrective actions. Compile and review audit output data to identify improvement opportunities. Coordinate and execute external audits, including customer audits. Support global quality initiatives on business process and system improvements. Perform all activities safely and responsibly while supporting Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements and programs. Utilize Black Belt Lean Six Sigma methodology for problem solving and continual improvement within Fab8. Qualifications Master’s degree in Quality and Engineering Management, Industrial Engineering, or a related field, or a foreign equivalent, plus 3 years post‑baccalaureate experience in related job titles. At least 3 years of experience in: Quality Management System standards (including internal audit), Quality Core Tools (FMEA, SPC, MSA, Control Plan, PPAP & APQP), Lean Manufacturing (VSM, Kaizen, 5S, Gemba, Poka‑Yoke, Jidoka, JIT, Andon), Six Sigma (DMAIC methodology and quality/statistical tools). ISO9001 certification required. Salary Salary range: $134,638 – $176,000 per year, determined based on qualifications, experience, and location.
