Teamwork is essential to the firm’s success, and creativity and new ideas are encouraged.Houlihan Lokey’s Technology Group is the No. 1 technology advisor globally based on number of transactions.**Job Description**As an Associate, you will:* Work with senior professionals covering Software and Digital Media clients* Learn about a range of end-markets: supply chain software, proptech, education technology, HCM software, semiconductors, sports tech, etc.* Support teams working on M&A as well as equity / debt capital raises* Research economic and industry-specific developments* Analyze financial statements and other investment attributes of publicly traded as well as private companies* Help prepare marketing materials and other presentations* Build relationships with clients and prospective clients* Supervise and mentor junior staff**Qualifications**The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications:* Strong academic track record, with a background in finance, accounting, business or economics* 3-4 years of investment banking experience (technology coverage preferred)* Solid understanding of the entire sell-side M&A process, along with proven experience in successfully closing deals* Advanced financial modeling and analytical abilities, as well as a deep understanding of financial statements* Advanced knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint* Excellent verbal and written communication skills* A high degree of intellectual curiosity and a desire to never stop learning* Keen attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in work product* Ability to manage rapid timelines and proactively manage any potential conflicts* Ability to exercise sound judgment, make informed decisions, and act independently* Comfort presenting to and engaging with senior colleagues, clients, and counterparties* Commitment to the firm and our clients**Compensation and Benefits**Houlihan Lokey is committed to providing its employees with an exciting career opportunity and competitive total compensation package, which may include other components such as discretionary incentive compensation.
