Job Summary:
Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Registered Nurse (RN) position is available at a healthcare provider in Wichita, Kansas. This role involves working in a Neuro ICU unit that manages complex cardiac, neuro, and critical care patients. The shift is scheduled for nights with a 12-hour shift time from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM, requiring a minimum of 36 hours per week. The assignment starts on 10/19/2026 and concludes on 01/18/2027.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Night shifts, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Registered Nurse (RN) license, current hospital ICU experience for at least 1 year, Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Neuro ICU experience, and proficiency in Meditech electronic medical records system
• Preferred Qualifications: Prior travel experience to large facility ICU units, experience with Meditech, and familiarity with procedures such as heart caths (STEMI & NSTEMI), balloon pumps, Impella devices, Therapeutic Hypothermia Management (TTM), neuro procedures (EVDs, thrombectomy, coiling), central lines, arterial lines, and medication drips involving vasoactives, sedatives, and paralytics
• Additional Information: The ICU unit features specialized equipment including Impella, balloon pumps, continuous renal replacement therapy (CRRT), and electronic fetal monitoring (EFM). The unit maintains typical staffing of 10-12 RNs per shift with a patient-to-nurse ratio of 1:2, with occasional 1:1 or 1:3 assignments. Bedside shift reports, multidisciplinary rounds, and strict adherence to unit policies are standard. The team is composed of highly experienced staff, providing a dynamic work environment with opportunities to work with new technology and procedures.
