VP/Fund Controller / Alternative Investments

DescriptionKforce has a client in Boston, MA that is seeking a VP/Fund Controller/Alternative Investments.Company Overview:A leading alternative investment manager is seeking a VP/Fund Controller to join its finance team. The firm manages a diverse portfolio of private investment vehicles and offers exposure to sophisticated investment structures, senior leadership, and institutional investors.Position Summary:The VP/Fund Controller will oversee fund accounting, financial reporting, audits, investor reporting, and operational controls across multiple investment funds. This individual will work closely with investment, legal, tax, and investor relations teams while helping develop and mentor accounting staff.Key Responsibilities:* Oversee fund accounting, financial reporting, and capital activity* Review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements* Lead annual audits and coordinate tax reporting* Manage capital calls, distributions, fund cash flows, and allocations* Oversee investor reporting and related inquiries* Ensure compliance with fund agreements, internal controls, and reporting requirements* Mentor and develop accounting team members* Drive process improvements, automation initiatives, and system enhancements* Partner with senior leadership and cross-functional teams on strategic initiativesCompensation & Benefits:* Competitive base salary* 30-35% bonus opportunity* Strong 401(k) match* Comprehensive benefits package* Hybrid work schedule in BostonRequirements* Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance* CPA strongly preferred* 8+ years of progressive accounting experience* Prior experience within private equity, real estate, alternative investments, asset management, or public accounting* Strong understanding of partnership accounting and investment fund structures* Experience managing audits and financial reporting processes* Demonstrated leadership and team management experience* Excellent analytical and communication skillsJob TypeDirect HireCompensation165000 - $200000
