Shift: 8:00 a.m. through 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday

Position Overview:

• Seeking Journeyman Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Mechanics to install, operate, repair, inspect, and maintain a wide range of HVAC, refrigeration, heating, and ventilation systems.
• The mechanics will work on equipment ranging from small domestic units to large central systems of approximately 500 tons. The position requires strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to work independently.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install, operate, repair, and maintain HVAC and refrigeration equipment.
• Perform major and minor repairs and routine equipment inspections.
• Troubleshoot refrigerant leaks, compressors, controls, and electrical/mechanical issues.
• Adjust and work with mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic controls.
• Service compressors and other HVAC components.
• Perform chemical treatment of water systems.
• Read and interpret blueprints and schematics.
• Diagnose problems and perform repairs independently.
• Occasionally supervise or assist helpers.
• Follow OSHA, manufacturer, industry, and applicable safety standards.

Required Qualifications:

• Minimum 4 years of HVAC/Refrigeration trade experience.
• Journeyman-level refrigeration and air conditioning experience.
• Active Texas HVAC license – Required.
• Siemens Controls training – Required.
• OSHA certification – Required.
• Experience with  commercial/industrial HVAC systems.
• Ability to read blueprints and troubleshoot equipment independently.
• Must be able to perform physical work, including heavy lifting and working in confined/cramped spaces.
• Comfortable working both indoors and outdoors.

Tools & PPE

• Candidates must provide their own basic HVAC tools, including a multimeter with amp clamp, wrenches, socket set, screwdrivers, pliers, Allen keys, fin comb, and service valve wrench.
• Required PPE includes safety glasses, gloves, hard hat, safety boots, hearing protection, eye protection, and appropriate long-sleeve/long-pants work clothing.
