Systems Test Engineers (Expert and Lead)Company:The Boeing CompanyJob DescriptionBoeing Defense, Space, and Security (BDS), Space Weapons and Information Systems is seeking GSCCE Systems Test Engineers (Expert and Lead) to support the Wideband Global Satellite (WGS) Ground Satellite Configuration & Control Element (GSCCE) Modernization effort in Colorado Springs, CO. This role supports current system upgrades for upcoming WGS satellite launches and future development initiatives, with responsibility spanning the full product lifecycle from concept and development through maintenance and customer support. The selected candidate will operate in a fast-paced, modified-agile environment, contributing to product documentation development and broader systems engineering activities, including system design, integration, sustainment, and support of technical deliverables such as SOWs and test procedures. The ideal candidate will bring strong systems engineering, problem-solving, technical, and communication skills, along with the ability to collaborate effectively in team-based environments and contribute to the success of a complex, mission-critical program.Position Responsibilities by Functional AreaHardwarePerform system design analysis of ground infrastructure hardware baselinesAnalyze performance requirements and allocation to segments and subsystemsDevelop and execute simulation and modeling to assess GSCCE system performance attributesEstablish and support system-level management and interfacesIdentify, evaluate, and review design decisions, trade studies, and architecture improvementsDevelop and manage risk and opportunity baselinesRequirementsEstablish and maintain requirements baselines, including analysis, derivation, allocation, and traceabilityManage requirements and system mission threadsDecompose complex requirements into executable user storiesMap and document system requirementsDocumentationDocument system design analyses, performance analyses, and simulation and modeling resultsSupport verification and validation activities for hardware prototypes and onboard software qualificationWrite reusable, high-quality test proceduresDesign and document test campaigns spanning simulation and hardware-in-the-loop environmentsDocument test data, defects, and results, and communicate findings to cross-functional teamsMaintain technical documentation for requirements, design decisions, trade studies, interfaces, and risk and opportunity baselinesThis position requires the ability to obtain a US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship as a condition of employment. In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.Lead, Level 4: Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), computer science, engineering data science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 9 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience or non-US equivalent qualifications.
