Shape the future of multifamily construction through innovation and leadership.Job DescriptionPresident of Construction OverviewThe President of Construction will lead multifamily development construction operations, ensuring projects are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and to high-quality standards.Strategically oversee construction initiatives to align with organizational objectives and drive long-term growth and operational excellence.Provide executive leadership to multidisciplinary teams, fostering collaboration and accountability across all construction functions.Develop and implement operational standards, policies, and best practices to enhance efficiency, quality, and profitability.Partner with internal departments to ensure seamless project execution and alignment with broader business strategies.Champion a culture of safety, innovation, and continuous improvement within the construction organization.Participate in executive planning, growth initiatives, and market expansion strategies to support organizational development.Leverage extensive experience in multifamily construction to deliver exceptional results and drive operational success.President of Construction Key Responsibilities & DutiesLead construction operations across diverse multifamily development portfolios, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards.Develop strategic plans to align construction operations with organizational goals and objectives.Recruit, mentor, and lead high-performing teams, including executives, managers, and field leadership.Establish and maintain operational standards, policies, and procedures to enhance efficiency and safety.Oversee project planning, risk evaluation, and mitigation strategies from preconstruction to closeout.Monitor project performance metrics, including schedules, budgets, and cash flow, ensuring optimal outcomes.Drive procurement strategies, subcontractor relationships, and contract negotiations to optimize resources.Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to ensure successful project execution and stakeholder satisfaction.President of Construction Job RequirementsBachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or related field; advanced degree preferred.20+ years of progressive leadership experience in multifamily construction projects, including large-scale developments.Proficient in construction finance, budgeting, scheduling, risk management, and contract administration.Extensive knowledge of construction software such as Procore, Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, and Bluebeam.Proven ability to recruit, develop, and retain top construction talent while fostering a collaborative culture.Experience with design-build, negotiated, and GMP delivery methods in multifamily construction.Strong background in value engineering, preconstruction, and scaling operations during growth phases.Exceptional communication, negotiation, and executive leadership skills to drive organizational success.
