Job Summary:

The Registered Nurse in the Medical Surgical specialty provides comprehensive nursing care to adult patients requiring medical and surgical interventions. They evaluate patient conditions, coordinate treatments, and support physicians in delivering high-quality, patient-centered care.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patients upon admission and continuously monitor their clinical progress.
  
• Develop, implement, and document individualized nursing care plans based on patient needs.
  
• Perform therapeutic nursing interventions aligned with physician diagnoses and patient assessments.
  
• Manage and coordinate patient care to ensure safety, comfort, and recovery.
  
• Advocate for evidence-based practices and incorporate innovative care solutions.
  
• Document all nursing actions accurately following standards of care and clinical priorities.
  Qualifications:
  
• Hold a valid NJ State Professional Registered Nurse license or multi-state compact license.
  
• Possess a minimum of 2 years recent Med-Surg nursing experience.
  
• Meet educational requirements with an ASN; BSN preferred.
  
• Maintain current certifications including BLS-AHA, NIHSS, and Contact Stroke 4 Hours.
  
• Demonstrate strong assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills.
