Job Summary:
Operating Room Open Heart (OR OH) specialty professional is needed in Utica, New York. This position involves working primarily during daytime hours on a 4-day workweek, with a minimum of 40 hours per week. The role requires providing patient care for adult patients undergoing open heart procedures, with on-call duties included. The candidate will be responsible for supporting surgeries for patients with diagnoses such as coronary artery disease, atrial stenosis, and mitral regurgitation, utilizing electronic medical records systems and adhering to hospital protocols.

Job Details:

• Location: Utica, NY
• Schedule: 4x10 hour shifts, Day shift, with a minimum of 40 hours per week
• Start Date: 08/03/2026
• Required Qualifications: Valid certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS); minimum of 1 year of relevant experience in operating room and open heart procedures; experience working with adult patients and supporting high-acuity surgeries; proficient in electronic medical records systems
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with EPIC electronic health record system; float rotation may be required if census is low
• Additional Information: The position involves working within a 75-mile radius rule; locals are accepted at a reduced rate; on-call responsibilities include a minimum of 7 days per month, with at least 5 weeknights and 1 weekend
