Interested applicants must apply online by visiting the Denver Public Schools job board at careers.dpsk12.org [ ** About this job: A Long-Term Substitute is responsible for teaching appropriate grade level standard-based curriculum to students, following school/district approved curriculum while the classroom teacher is absent for an extended period of time. This position is covering for a Spanish Resource Classroom, Kindergarten - 8th Grade. This is a temporary position with an expected end date of October 13, 2026. • Salary: $30.00 per hour.

• Counsels students to encourage and support student achievement.
• Monitors, supervises, coordinates, and enforces rule of conduct and behavior

of assigned students and reinforces positive student behaviors in accordance with school and District policy. * Observes, evaluates, reports, and records students' performance, behavior, social development, and physical health. * Prepares educational course outlines, objectives, and materials according to curriculum guidelines or state and local requirements. * Establishes and communicates clear objectives for lessons, units, and projects to students. * Presents subject matter to students, using various teaching methods and technology, adjusting teaching style and method to meet student learning style. * Instructs students individually and in groups, using various teaching methods (e.g., lectures, technology, discussions). * Prepares, administers, assigns, and grade tests and assignments to evaluate student progress, reporting grades using District software. * Prepares student, attendance and activity reports as required by administrators. * Communicates with parents or guardians, teachers, counselors, and administrators to resolve students' behavioral and academic problems and coordinates instructional efforts. What You’ll Need:

• Hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Education or related field.
• Have a valid Colorado Department of Education

• Spanish speaking skills highly preferred
