Lead Developer (Flink, AWS)

Job Overview Lead Developer (Flink, AWS) Contract Length: 12+ months Location: San Antonio, TX 78288 (On Site Work) W2 Only employment. Visa sponsorship available. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, code, and test new features and applications using Java and Spring Boot. Build and maintain RESTful web services supporting integrations and data exchange. Develop and maintain Kafka-based streaming and asynchronous communication systems. Develop and deploy applications on AWS using services such as EKS, Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB, S3, and Step Functions. Define and manage infrastructure using Terraform. Develop and maintain Apache Flink pipeline jobs for enterprise data processing and analytics. Work closely with engineers, product managers, and stakeholders throughout the SDLC. Write unit, integration, and end-to-end tests. Troubleshoot and resolve software defects. Create and maintain technical documentation for systems, code, and processes. Stay current with emerging technologies, development best practices, and cloud-native engineering approaches. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, related technical field, or equivalent practical experience. Development experience with cloud computing concepts, particularly AWS services. Development experience with Apache Flink pipeline jobs. Experience with AWS services including EKS, Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB, S3, and Step Functions. Experience with Golang development for EKS and Lambda. Experience with Terraform. Understanding of containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes. Foundational knowledge of Java programming. Understanding of core Spring Boot concepts. Familiarity with RESTful API principles. Basic understanding of Kafka or similar messaging/streaming platforms. Familiarity with Git or other version control systems. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and teamwork abilities. Ability to learn and adapt to new technologies. Familiarity with Agile development methodologies. #J-18808-Ljbffr
