Ascension Global Staffing & Executive Search is seeking an experienced Immigration Paralegal for a prestigious law firm in its Brickell office in Miami, Florida.

The ideal candidate is a highly organized, detail-oriented, and tech-savvy professional with at least three years of experience in U.S. business immigration law. This individual will support complex corporate immigration matters, manage multiple cases simultaneously, and ensure accurate and timely preparation and filing of immigration petitions and applications.

The successful candidate will be comfortable working independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced legal environment while maintaining exceptional attention to detail, strong communication skills, and the ability to meet strict deadlines.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare, review, and file employment-based immigrant and nonimmigrant visa petitions and applications.

• Support corporate immigration matters, including H-1B, L-1, O-1, PERM Labor Certification, Adjustment of Status (AOS), and other employment-based immigration processes.

• Manage consular processing and National Visa Center (NVC) matters.

• Monitor case statuses, filing deadlines, and immigration processing timelines.

• Liaise with government agencies, including USCIS, U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP), U.S. Department of Labor (DOL), and U.S. Department of State (DOS).

• Coordinate with attorneys, clients, employees, and other stakeholders to gather documentation and ensure timely case progression.

• Maintain accurate case files, databases, and immigration records.

• Track and record billable and non-billable time in accordance with firm policies.

• Conduct legal and procedural research related to business immigration matters.

• Provide administrative and case management support while ensuring compliance with applicable immigration regulations and procedures.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3+ years of U.S. immigration law experience within a law firm, corporate legal department, or immigration practice.

• Demonstrated knowledge of complex business immigration matters and employment-based immigration processes.

• Experience with USCIS, CBP, DOL, DOS, and other relevant government agencies and their procedures.

• Working knowledge of PERM Labor Certification, immigrant and nonimmigrant visas, Adjustment of Status, and consular processing.

• Experience with National Visa Center procedures and employment-based immigration case management.

• Strong organizational, analytical, and time-management skills.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Ability to manage competing priorities, meet strict deadlines, and work both independently and as part of a team.

• Proficiency with legal case management systems and Microsoft Office.

• Paralegal Studies Certificate preferred.
