This full-time contract position offers the rewarding opportunity to guide K-3rd grade students with moderate to severe needs in a self-contained classroom setting. You’ll work on-site, from approximately 7:45am to 3:45pm, collaborating with a dedicated team to create a positive and inclusive educational experience starting as soon as possible.

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Valid Special Education Teaching certification (appropriate for K-3rd grade levels)
• Experience supporting students with moderate/severe needs in a self-contained environment preferred
• Familiarity with IEP development, implementation, and compliance
• Strong communication and collaboration abilities with students, families, and team members
• Proven skills in differentiated instruction and behavior management

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and deliver individualized lesson plans for students, adapting curriculum to meet diverse learning needs
• Foster a positive, structured, and inclusive classroom environment that supports each child’s growth
• Collaborate with paraprofessionals, specialists, and administrative staff to ensure comprehensive student support
• Track student progress, manage documentation, and participate in IEP meetings
• Engage families as partners in the educational process, maintaining open and proactive communication
