Registered Nurse Cardiac Progressive Care

Mission Health, based in Asheville, NC, is seeking a compassionate and experienced Registered Nurse for our Cardiac Progressive Care unit within our Healthcare & Medical Services department. In this role, you will provide high-quality, patient-centered nursing care to adults with acute and chronic cardiac conditions who require continuous monitoring and specialized interventions but do not need intensive care. You will perform comprehensive assessments, interpret cardiac telemetry and vital signs, administer medications and cardiac drips, coordinate diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, and collaborate closely with cardiologists, hospitalists, advanced practice providers, and an interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans. The Registered Nurse will educate patients and families on cardiac disease management, post-procedure care, lifestyle modifications, and medication adherence, ensuring understanding and promoting safe transitions of care. You will be responsible for prioritizing and managing a dynamic caseload, responding promptly to changes in patient condition, activating emergency responses as needed, and documenting all care accurately in the electronic health record.
