Cafeteria I Food Services Assistant

The role and assignments of a Cafeteria I Food Services Assistant is to ensure quality nutrition and standards. Essential performance responsibilities include maintaining high standards of control for quality food production and service. Must be comfortable using knives and kitchen equipment. Maintains an environment conducive to protecting the health and well-being of the students, through high levels of food safety and sanitation standards. Maintains quality standards for the presentation and service of food in a pleasant environment. Ensures compliance with school/district policies and procedures. Implements administrative policies for proper use and care of all equipment. Performs all duties and responsibilities in an ethical and professional manner. Communicates effectively with unit manager and other employees. Assumes other responsibilities as specified by the Director of Food Services. Works in school building environments.

Qualification profile: High school diploma or GED required. FLSA status: Exempt. Pay rate: Starting rate of $16.18; negotiable and varies based on experience.
