Job Description

About Our Client:

Our client is a long-standing agricultural and environmental services company with a strong presence across California's San Joaquin Valley and Central Coast. Established for more than 90 years, they are known for delivering high-quality, cost-efficient products, services, and solutions that support growers and help protect the environment. Safety, teamwork, and long-term career development are core to their culture.

What They Bring to the Table:

Our client offers a well-compensated senior mechanic role in a stable, safety-focused industrial environment with solid benefits and a culture that supports work-life balance and long-term career growth.

  • Competitive pay: $29–$38 per hour
  • Health, dental, vision, and life insurance
  • 401(k)
  • Paid time off and paid holidays
  • Supportive team culture with an emphasis on safety and career development

What You Bring to the Table:

We are seeking a Mechanic III with 5+ years of industrial maintenance or heavy equipment mechanic experience and advanced skill in diagnosing and repairing complex mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and electronic systems. You will handle the most challenging repairs on industrial recycling and heavy equipment, lead repair projects, mentor junior mechanics, and help keep equipment running at peak performance. A high school diploma or equivalent is required; advanced technical certifications are preferred. A valid driver's license is required, and candidates must pass a drug screen and physical. Welding/fabrication, PLC/VFD exposure, and condition-monitoring experience are pluses. This is a swing-shift role (10:30 a.m. – 7:00 p.m.) in Lost Hills, CA.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose and repair complex systems on heavy industrial machinery, including engines, hydraulics, powertrains, and electrical/electronic controls
  • Overhaul and rebuild major components such as transmissions, axles, hydraulic pumps and motors, gearboxes, and rotating equipment
  • Troubleshoot computerized control systems, sensors, wiring, and ECUs using diagnostic software and specialized tools
  • Lead large-scale repair projects and coordinate work with other mechanics, technicians, and supervisors
  • Perform preventive and predictive maintenance to reduce unscheduled downtime and maintain detailed repair and service records
  • Mentor Mechanic I and II team members and collaborate with operators and supervisors to resolve recurring reliability issues

This is a strong opportunity for an experienced heavy-equipment mechanic to join a long-established company in Lost Hills, CA, and take on advanced repair work in a safety-focused environment that values technical skill, mentoring, and long-term career growth.
