CT Technologist- PRN

University Cancer & Blood Center is looking to hire a PRN CT Technologist. Job Description Performs routine and emergent CT examinations in accordance with department policies, procedures, and protocols. Performs and documents patient assessment/history related to procedures and provides patient care to meet patient’s physical and psychological needs. Provides patient and family education related to imaging procedures. Communicates with other departments to ensure continuity and appropriateness of patient care. Uses proper shielding, distance, and time limitations without exception to protect self and others against ionizing radiation. Wears personal monitoring device on collar and submits regularly for assessment of occupational dosage. Performs and documents equipment QC according to department protocol. Recognizes and reports any malfunctions or variations to physicians or Administrator. Responsible for maintaining and ordering supplies for department. Participates in educational seminars, committees, and conferences. Utilizes professional affiliations and maintains knowledge and expertise in leading edge developments in innovative technology.
