Traveling Safety Manager

Job Summary Works directly with site management and Division Safety Manager Assists in New Employee Safety Orientation training Inspects and audits projects/jobsites to ensure compliance with IES safety policies, procedures, programs Conducts employee training on IES safety policies, procedures and programs Conducts safety toolbox meetings on projects/jobsites Investigates incidents and near-misses with prevention recommendations Leads safety inspection process; assists management to ensure all violations are corrected immediately Completes other duties as directed by Division Safety Manager Travel required Qualifications Minimum of 3 years construction safety experience on large scale construction projects required; 3-5 yrs. electrical construction experience preferred Knowledge of OSHA, state, federal safety regulations and electrical construction industry practices Must possess/maintain OSHA-30 Certification and 1st Aid/CPR Certification Ability to read and interpret all safety regulations and apply them to Company policies and practices Ability to work/lead in an ethical and safe manner, to solve problems and adjust priorities, and support the company's values Ability to communicate effectively with management and field employees Successfully pass pre-employment (post offer) background check, drug test and MVR check when responsibilities require operating motor vehicles. Must possess at least one of the following: Certified Safety Professional (CSP) Construction Health and Safety Technologist (CHST) Occupational Health and Safety Technologist (OHST) Bachelor's degree or higher in EHS discipline or EHS related field Company Overview IES Commercial, Inc. - DBA IES Electrical, a subsidiary of IES Holdings, Inc.
