Emergency Service Head Veterinarian

BluePearl Pet Hospital – Rockville, Maryland A full‑time Emergency Service Head Veterinarian position is available at our state‑of‑the‑art emergency and specialty hospital. Role Summary The Emergency Service Head is a clinically practicing manager of the hospital’s ER Clinician team, responsible for scheduling, hiring, training, mentoring, facilitating regular ER meetings, and representing the ER team as a hospital leader. Responsibilities Supervise ER Clinicians and manage day‑to‑day operations. Schedule, hire, train, and mentor staff. Facilitate regular ER meetings. Represent ER team in hospital leadership. Collaborate with Medical Director to ensure the highest level of patient care. Benefits Annual ERSH base salary up to $220,000, based on experience. Successful completion of rotating internship or the BluePearl’s EmERge program required. 2+ years of clinical experience required. Must possess valid applicable DVM licensure. Demonstrated capacity to multitask and successfully manage competing priorities required. Prior shift lead experience preferred. Strong leadership ability with excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills. Demonstrated stress tolerance and attention to detail. Strong ability to mentor and train less experienced Clinicians and Interns.
