Position- TK/Kindergarten Teachers Needed for Sycamore Creek Community Charter School Sycamore Creek Community Charter School is seeking compassionate, joyful, and collaborative Early Childhood teachers to join our vibrant faculty as a Grades Teacher. We currently have openings in Transitional Kindergarten and Kindergarten. We are looking for California credentialed teachers who have Waldorf training. We also encourage exceptional educators who are eager to embrace Waldorf pedagogy to apply. In addition, we are searching for Transitional Kindergarten teachers who have 24 ECE units. Sycamore Creek Community Charter School is a WASC accredited Waldorf inspired Charter school that serves 230 children TK through eighth grade located in Cypress, California. Our school offers a comprehensive Waldorf curriculum that includes Spanish, Mandarin, handwork, music, games, and choir. We have a strong emphasis on the outdoors, arts, and community. We are eagerly looking for like minded individuals to join our teaching team. Responsibilities Inspire and nurture young minds in a supportive and creative environment Maintain a calm, engaging, and developmentally appropriate learning environment Create and uphold classroom rhythms, routines, and classroom rules/agreements Supervise children during indoor and outdoor play. Promote independent play, social-emotional development, peer relationships, and self-regulation skills Support students’ social emotional well-being throughout the day Be a part of a community that values collaboration, innovation, and lifelong learning Participate in ongoing professional development to deepen understanding of Waldorf principles and practices Foster an inclusive environment that promotes diversity, equity, and belonging Ensure student safety and follow all school policies and procedures Qualifications A valid California Teaching Credential Educators with 24 units for Transitional Kindergarten. ECE units are preferred for Kindergarten teachers as well but not required. Experience working with children in an educational or childcare setting.
