Material Handler

For a logistics and warehouse operation based in Bolingbrook, IL, we are seeking a Material Handler to support on-site inventory and material flow activities on a full-time basis. In this role, the Material Handler will work Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., operating sit-down forklift equipment and handling order picking, staging, and cycle counting tasks. The position is structured as temporary with an opportunity for permanent employment based on performance and business needs. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong attention to detail, reliable attendance, and the ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced warehouse environment. This role requires consistent adherence to safety procedures and clear communication in English to support daily operations.

What You Will Do?

• Operate a sit-down forklift in a safe and controlled manner to move, load, and unload materials throughout the warehouse facility.

• Perform order picking activities accurately by locating, selecting, and preparing materials based on documented order requirements and instructions.

• Stage materials and orders in designated areas in a structured and organized way to support shipping, receiving, and internal production workflows.

• Conduct cycle counts of inventory items with attention to detail to verify quantities, identify discrepancies, and support accurate stock records.

• Maintain strong attendance and punctuality on the Monday through Friday schedule to ensure consistent support for daily warehouse operations.

Your Skills

• Demonstrates effective communication skills in English to coordinate tasks, clarify instructions, and report issues to supervisors and team members.

• Works as a cooperative team player who supports colleagues, shares information, and contributes to a reliable and efficient warehouse environment.

• Brings practical warehouse experience, including familiarity with material storage, order fulfillment, and basic inventory processes and documentation.

• Applies inventory management understanding to help maintain accurate counts, proper labeling, and organized storage of materials and products.

• Operates material handling equipment, including sit-down forklifts, while following established safety compliance procedures and regulatory guidelines.

Pay Details: $21.50 per hour
